About Me

About Me:

Welcome to my Blog!   The purpose of this blog is to share with you, my experiences and things I have learned throughout my personal and professional life.  As an introvert, a career in mental health has proved to be quite interesting, resulting in many lessons and observations. I hope to share common sense advice, insights, and motivation for living as your authentic self.

I am originally from a small town in Ohio, where I met my husband. We moved to North Carolina in 2006 and eventually adopted our little dog Benson. (warning: I am pretty obsessed with my little furbaby).  I am highly introverted while my husband is more extroverted, which makes married life quite interesting. I’m vegan and love to travel. I hope to help you have conversations about conscious decision-making, setting goals, and living a life that is authentic to YOU.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development, as well as an MBA. I worked as an outpatient therapist for many years before moving into a corporate environment, working as a clinical auditor and trainer.
